I recorded this episode in my hotel room high above the Las Vegas strip after attending the first day of Avvo’s Lawyernomics Conference. This is my first time attending Lawyernomics and so far the conference has been great. I have been really impressed by the quality of the speakers and the detail that has been provided on topics ranging from content marketing, website design, networking, social media, and legal ethics.
In this episode I provide my review of the conference and my three (3) main takeaways from the first day, including recaps of talks by Scott Stratten, Ann Handley, Nifty Law’s Mike Ramsey and Chad Henkle, and Avvo’s Mark Britton, Leigh McMillan, and Josh King.
Throughout the day many of the speakers provided examples of attorneys who were doing a great job in their marketing. It was fun to hear many of the people who have come on the JDBlogger Podcast. Here are the ones that were mentioned today:
Resources Mentioned in this Episode
Get Five Stars – A big focus of a few of the speakers today was the necessity of seeking out online reviews from clients. A tool that was mentioned was Get Five Stars. I checked it out during the talk and signed up before the talk was over. This is really a slick program.
Ruby Receptionist – It was also nice to see the great people from the show’s sponsor Ruby Receptionist –
